The end. Finito. Farewell. Washington D.C. marked the final few days of our 180-days-around-the-world adventure. In many ways, we felt ready to go home. That is until the very dawning realisation of reentering the real world crashed over us!
We're normally pretty lazy human beings, opting for a lie in than any morning exercise. Untrue to form - in our final week in Peru we decided to cram as much action in as possible, mainly because this adventure junkie's paradise is so cheap!
Buenos Aires is a remarkable city, unique in South America. But its abiding memory for us is the time we narrowly averted disaster after picking up someone else's backpack from our hostel and nearly flying off with it!
Fraser Island is a wild wildnerness that happens to attract hundreds of backpackers and daytrippers. Our unintentionally hilarious tour guide David may have been intensely annoying, but it's given us years' worth of dinner party tales!
